± Havoc Theory is four-piece metal band from Pittsburgh, PA. Through a fusion of 80s thrash metal and newer heavy and death metal, Havoc Theory has created a powerful, heavy sound with a vintage 80s feel. They’ve brought back what made metal stand out and have added in what makes metal so brutal today.
Havoc Theory was started by bassist Greg Nicosia and guitarist Steve Devlin in high school. After the band's first official show, Steve left the band due differences in style. After replacing Steve the band continued growing and playing shows. After an eventful run with the Emergenza Festival of Music in 2006, Havoc Theory was completely disbanded due to irreconcilable differences.
Since its inception there have been a many lineup changes and many shows in the Pittsburgh area. Currently, the band is comprised of founders Greg Nicosia and Steve Devlin on bass and guitar respectively, Matt Lesnondak on drums and Dan Gold on lead guitar. Havoc Theory has performed for small crowds on local stages and has also played in sold out venues opening for national acts.
Havoc Theory recently recorded its first demo album at Mr. Smalls studio. This self-financed debut album is a testament to the band's progress since it began. It features 7 tracks that any metal head can enjoy and a bonus acoustic track. We are currently unsigned and unsponsored and in the process of sending promotional kits and information to labels, sponsors, etc. Havoc Theory is committed to the local metal scene and thanks you for your support!
